What is the atmosphere like at The Undergrowth?
The atmosphere is quiet, private, and nature-immersed. Guests often choose to spend extended time outdoors and engage more fully with their surroundings and fellow guests. Connectivity is limited, supporting a sense of seclusion while remaining accessible for essential needs.
Can we bring our own retreat facilitators or vendors?
Absolutely! Hosts may bring their own facilitators or work with local partners. We are happy to assist with sourcing trusted vendors if desired.
Are meals included with retreats?
Meals are available as add-ons through catering partners or may be self-organized depending on the event.
I'm a retreat facilitator/planner, how do I get pricing for holding a retreat at The Undergrowth?
Amazing! The world needs more people just like you. Reach out to us directly and we can talk through your needs and even set up a time for you to come tour our space.
I'm planning to visit the area. Can I just rent a cottage at The Undergrowth without going to a retreat?
Maybe. We do not allow private rentals mixed in with group events, but we do open up our cottages for private rental when the property isn't already being used by a group.
I'm planning an event (retreat, wedding, off-site, etc). Can I invite guests who will not be staying overnight?
Unfortunately, no. Only guests staying on-site/overnight may attend your event.
Can I have a DJ or band at my event?
Yes, but amplified music is only allowed indoors, at reasonable volume levels, and with the exterior doors closed. We take preserving the natural nature of the forest very seriously.
What kind of connectivity is on site?
We have intentionally kept connectivity limited. The property supports some, but not all data services. There is wifi available in the Gatehouse common area for all guests to access. There is no wifi available in the cottages.
Will there be other people staying on the property during my event?
No. If you have rented the property for a private event of any kind the entirety of the property is reserved for you and your guests only.
