The Undergrowth is a private retreat venue in Luray, Virginia, created as a space for intentional gathering in nature. Located in Page Valley near Shenandoah National Park, our forest setting supports retreats, corporate offsites, and celebrations that prioritize presence and connection.

Our Mission

We believe natural environments support clarity, healing, creativity, and authentic relationships. The Undergrowth exists to provide a private Virginia woodland setting where gatherings unfold with intention and simplicity, shaped by the people present rather than external pressure.

Meet Lindi Jenkins, Owner and Founder

Lindi Jenkins created The Undergrowth as a response to the need for spaces that allow people to slow down and reconnect. With experience in community, education, and hospitality, Lindi designed this Page Valley retreat as an invitation to step away from constant demands and return to what matters most.

The property serves individuals, families, and organizations seeking meaningful time in nature near Shenandoah. Here, time stretches, meals are shared, and conversations deepen in a setting that values stillness and presence.

The Name

In a forest, the undergrowth is the layer beneath the canopy where real growth happens. The name represents stepping off well-worn paths, moving with intention, and clearing away what no longer serves. The Undergrowth is where connection and reconnection occur—with nature, others, and ourselves.
